I wrote the following prayer for use at morning to go with a series of examples of prayers throughout the day for use by young people. It was inspired while preparing to lead a session on Anglican prayer beads with year 11 students at All Souls St Gabriels School; which we recently introduced as part of our visit to ASSG.
A prayer for use in the morning
The Cross
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Invitatory Bead
As the sun rises to bring light to the earth,
so may your light, O Lord, bring light to my life.
Cruciform Beads
This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Week Beads
We who walk with God turn our face to heaven,
keeping God’s laws,
living a just life.
