One of the important aspects of the prayer bead workshops is allowing time for participants to be able to make a connection between the theoritcal, practical and spiritual. We have quiet time to set aside from others and just be with God, to see how God is speaking to us in prayer. This wonderful rosary for world peace was a result of one of the participants from a workshop in Canberra.

A Rosary for World Peace

Tim Macnaught
St John’s, Canberra

The Cross

+ Dying You destroyed our death
Rising You restored our life
Christ Jesus , come in glory.

The Invitatory

Blessed are you Lord, King of Kings
You have given us your peace
And set a hunger in our hearts.

Cruciform

Lighten our darkness, Lord
Let the light of your presence
Dispel the shadows of our world.

1st Septet

O God lead us from death to life,
From falsehood to truth.

2nd Septet

Lead us from despair to hope,
From fear to trust.

3rd Septet

Lead us from hate to love,
From war to peace.

4th Septet

Let peace fill our hearts, our world, our universe.

(Satish Kumar)

The Closing

The peace of the Father of joy
The peace of Christ the hope
The peace of the Spirit of grace
The peace of all peace be ours this day/this night

The Cross

+ Dying, you destroyed our death
Rising, you restored our life
Christ Jesus, come in glory
