Evening prayers, Sharing our prayers Add comments
An example of how prayer books can be an inspiration for writing prayers for use with the Anglican Rosary. Simple prayers and responses from evening prayer (The Daily Office SSF ) have been used to fit with the rhythm of prayer of the Anglican Rosary for use in morning prayer.
An Evening Prayer
Adapted by Br Nathan-James ssf
The Cross
O God make speed to save us.
O Lord make haste to help us.
The Invitatory Bead
As our evening prayer rises before you, O God,
so may your mercy come down upon us,
to cleanse our hearts and set us free to sing your praise,
now and forever. Amen.
The Cruciform Beads
Let my prayer rise before you as incense,
the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
The Week Beads
Lord have mercy,
Christ have mercy,
Lord have mercy.
The Invitatory Bead
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with us all evermore. Amen.
The Cross
Let us bless the Lord, thanks be to God.
