An example of how prayer books can be an inspiration for writing prayers for use with the Anglican Rosary. Simple prayers and responses from evening prayer (The Daily Office SSF ) have been used to fit with the rhythm of prayer of the Anglican Rosary for use in night prayer.

A Night Prayer

adapted from The Daily Office SSF

by Br Nathan-James ssf

The Cross

Our help is in the name of the Lord; who made heaven and earth.

The Invitatory Bead

The Lord almighty grant us a quiet night and a perfect end.

The Cruciform Beads

Holy God, Holy and strong, Holy and immortal; have mercy on us.

The Week Beads

Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.

The Invitatory Bead

Now Lord you let your servant go in peace; your word has been fulfilled.
My own eyes have seen the salvation; which you have prepared in the sight of every people.
A light to reveal you to the nations; and the glory of your people Israel.

The Cross

Let us bless the Lord, thanks be to God.
