This prayer for healing inspired by the Jesus prayer shows how ancient prayers of the church can be adapted to the rhythm of the Anglican Rosary. The Jesus prayer is an ancient prayer recited since the time of the early church mothers and fathers. It is still a very strong part of orthodox christian spirituality. The following is an example of how the writtings and prayers of Holy men and women can inspire prayers for use with the Anglican Rosary. Francis of Assisi was considered a very prayerful person. He would often be found alone  wrapped in the ecstasy of prayer.  His prayers have inspired many. This Franciscan inspired prayer uses many of Francis’ well known prayers and devotions.
